Born in 1982 in Istanbul, Turkey, İdil Deniz Ergün studied journalism and Fine Arts at Istanbul University and Marmara University. She got her master’s degree in fashion design from Istituto Marangoni Milano. While she was a student she started working as an editor in some of the major fashion and music magazines. After graduating from fashion, she worked as a designer at textile companies. As a result of she not finding what she’s looking for in the fashion industry, she turned her path toward arts and culture. She worked as a gallery director at some major Istanbul Galleries while she worked as an editor of Istanbul Art News. She currently working as the director of The Museum of Innocence while she continues to be a freelance writer for art magazines.
